The subject of the doctoral thesis of Anna Holterhoff is the investigation of a particular aspect of the development of spatial concepts in early modern science: the establishment of the Copernican worldview. By focusing on the argumentative structures and epistemological networks in the related discourse, the project aims at reconstructing the complex processes of knowledge transformation by which the new cosmological worldview became accepted.
